The Elna 945 is an elegant yet practical 5/4/3/2 thread  overlock that offers everything a sewer could want in one machine. From wide, narrow, and triple cover hems, to flatlocks, overlocks, and rolled hems, this 5-thread serger whizzes through any project with fantastic results.

Description:
Choose from 24 sewing programs on the new Elna 945, including  the 5-thread, the garment industry standard for construction. Or for stretchability, select the 3-thread overlock, 4-thread overlock or the stretch wrapped stitch. The narrow hem and rolled hem programs give beautiful edge finishes on napkins,  ruffles, and scarves. The flatlock allows decorative stripes to be made without cutting the fabric and can also be used on the exposed seam of a sweatshirt, commonly seen in ready-to-wear. And the chainstitch can be sewn  anywhere in the fabric for construction or decorative purposes.

Use:
If these 24 stitches aren't enough, there are currently 24 applications available by use of ProCards. These cards allow you to increase the potential of the Elna 945 by making it a truly updateable overlock.  Stitches can be programmed onto ProCards, just like a computer disk. Each  ProCard has 3 pre-programmed stitches built-in and three blank spaces for you to program in your favorite settings. The new Elna 945 features a comprehensive computer display screen with easy to read symbols. The screen provides all  the necessary information for flawless sewing. The symbols indicate stitch  length, differential feed settings, needle and upper looper position, cutting  blade and cutting width position, and the correct presser foot to use. Each stitch program has automatic computerized tensions. Asterisks in the tension window indicate which tension disc and guides to thread. The 945 simplifies  threading with the aid of color coded threading paths, easy to read charts, and self-threading chain and lower loopers.
